Default firewall insulation

just got it in the mail. along with the adhesive. my question is, which side goes towards the toeboard? the rubber side or the cotton side? which part do i spray the adhesive on?

oh and another quick one, should i stick some deadener on the toeboard before i put the insulation for extra sound deadening? or should i just put only the insulation?

the "cotton" side goes towards the metal so that the rubber backing faces you. The original one was held on with plastic "T" push pin fasteners, is there a reason you want to glue it in? Are you smoothing your firewall?Or are you just applyinga "tack" coat to help hold it in place?
As to additional sound deadener, it depends on what your overall goal is.
Basically it's weight versus quietness. If it were me, I'd do one or the other, unless I wanted limo quietness. In which case I'd buy a Lincoln Town Car.
Good luck with it!

yeah i figured it out. it actually only does one way lol. blond moment haha.

it actually came with the glue so i figured it glue it and use the push in clips. but i forgot to put on the ring and gasket around the steering column before i glued it in just now. [:@] . thats ok cause im planning on getting a new steering box anyways so ill just slip it in when the box is out. thanks.

oh yeah hey scott? were you by chance at a car show in niles california last weekend? my dad said he saw a convertible just like yours.
