painting advice
I put my candy purple over my flames and am not getting the look that I wanted. I did a strip so that I can still practice some more. I am trying to make the flames a little more subtle. Almost like a ghost flame. The candy is too over powering and is going to make the car look purple and block out my black. If I was going for a purple car this would be an awesome color to go with. It has a deep color to it. The candy didn't really fade out my flames like I had hoped. I am wondering if I were to use a grey instead of the white for the flame out line then cover that with the purple if that would tone it down. When I painted the candy it almost looked blotchy when I tried to keep it light. So I had to use a couple more coats. What about pearls are those a little more transparent? I am also wondering about putting my candy purple in with the black painting my flames and coating that with the candy and then clearing the car. I don't know. Give me some suggestions. I am open to ideas.
