Is the main support brace for the brake pedal the same on a auto car as on a standard car ?

Yes, I believe so. Go to Mustangsteve.com if you want some good details about swapping from standard to auto and visa versa.

Yes it is.

I recently installed a clutch pedal and new bushings on my original automatic pedal assembly and it worked great!

Yea, I hung a set from a 64 Mercury Cyclone in mine. Nothing to it.
