OK, the guy gave me another bracket and rotor, so I have all of my parts (Except for axle shafts, but they are ordered and should be here tomorrow or Friday). Last night I removed the other disc brake parts off of the 7.5" axle and got it out of my way. I also managed to pull the rear end out of my car. I was amazed at how easily everything came apart. I figured with it being 36 years old that it would be a bitch due to rusted bolts. However, this was not the case. I coated everything down with penetrating oil and started wrenching. I had no problems whatsoever, and had it completly out in 1 hour 15 mins. I am concerened about the emergency brake hookup. I think I might be able to make new brackets and use my old cables, but im not sure. I also contemplated just getting new cables so that I wouldn't have to tear the old drum brakes down to remove the factory cables. I plan on looking into it some more either tonight or tomorrow. I know several of you have done rear disc conversions, so what have you all done for E-brake cables??? I'm not too concerened about it since I don't need them to drive it, but I want to have them working ASAP. One more thing, since the rear calpers are really small, I am thinking that I should be fine with my current proportioning valve/master cylinder, but has anybody used the SN95 calipers and know for sure whether not it will work?

not offering any help but i do have a question, your 7.5 rear brakes bolted right up to the 8.8 housing? you did not need a bracket or adapter? iknow they are the same brakes but didnt know if they could be directly bolted on.

sorry i have no info on the parking brakes to offer.

The 7.5 and 8.8s share the same housing end and bearing. The bolt pattern is the same between the two, so yes, they will work. And for any doubters, yes, I already test fit the brackets to the 8.8 housing. They fit right on. The axles are the same width too because all 94-98s are the same. I found out that all 94-98 stangs have the exact same brakes on the back (including brackets, rotors, calipers, hoses, ect.), unless it is a Cobra (bigger brakes). So they are 100% interchangeable.

NOTE:The 7.5 inch housing I am refering to is also for a94-98 mustang. I was NOT referingtoanearly style (like in65-68 or whatever the exact years are) 7.5 that came behind the I6's. Sorry for the confusion.
