I think these black valve covers and black air cleaner would lookhot in a white stang. I went withblack as the main color with blue and a touch of chrome.

YEAH those are the ones im talking about! thers also an A/C plate that matches it and eventually i wanna move to some new black wires and hoses to make it look nice like yours.

eventually i wanna put those on. they are subtle and make it look very mechanical. IMO

the chrome is a little to flashy for me. so i think im going to leave it on until i can restore the OE style and until i get around to getting those. maybe ill reccomend those as a early christmas present.

I wish I had AC so I could have that plate in my engine, its a nice combo. Good luck and BTW Summit had the best price for that stuff. I paid $179 for the cleaner and heads during some winter special last year.

I'm probably getting rid of mine... they'll fit yours... theyre in excellent shape, need to be cleaned but I'd do that before I sent em off to you... I found some that'll match my car better once I'm finished painting the engine again this winter...

These are what I have:

These are what I'm buying:

just not sure if that means I should paint my engine black... anyway, just kicking it around. Let me know if you wanna work something out.

+1 on not being a big chrome fan. My dad used to say that chrome was for pimps and homos.Of course he came from a different era when anything flashy was considered to be inpoor taste. I don't necessarily subscribe to that but...

I like the stock look. I found a nice dual snorkle air cleaner off of an 85 Mustang. I took off the snorkles and put some wire mesh behind the holes ala the 67 GT air cleaner. I used a late 60's lid painted blue to finish the look. I painted my aluminum intake FoMoCo blue as well so it really has a nice stockish look. Theycontrast very well against my SVO aluminum heads.

You're lucky. I got a set of those at the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup, since my mustang isn't red I had to change them Although, mine didn't have those weird tags on the side...

what is is "letter from ford"?

and I think they both look fine, however even though that is an original air cleaner, it doesn't look like one designed for a mustang. I could be wrong, but I remember the cleaners looking different, and the lid being more smooth.

In either case it looks good though
