Default which air cleaner

hey guys i ran across a original 302 air cleaner at a junk yard and i was wondering what you guys thought about it. currently i am using a eldebrock chrome air cleaner.

heres the pic with the eldebrock

i found this air cleaner at a junkyard, im thinking about stripping it and re painting it blue. what do you think? which looks better.
im wondering since my engine is mostly stock maybe a stock air cleaner makes it look better? sorry the cleaner is dirty,

I like the chrome, but ifyou want to stay with the stock look, then go for the stock air cleaner. Nice car, good luck with it.

I personnaly really like my K&N XStream filter and lid. You may check it out if you go aftermarket. I like the look of the open style aftermarket filter.

I like the 302 air cleaner.

This is OT but how long did it take you to receive the letter from Ford?

thanks guys, well i do not plan on staying stock. ive got some 17 mach 1 wheels going on next week, and eventually the engine compartment will get some machined style ribbed valve covers and some some other small things. nothing out rageous but its not a GT or anything so i will be doing some more tastefully adjustments like valve covers or wheels.

just wondering what you thought about the way the two looked. imkinda thinking that the chrome one is a little to loud for the rest of teh car.

its been a while since i asked for one, i have two for three of the mustangs that i have,
i have yet to get one for the 67. i cant remember but i know it wasnt extrememly long, maybe a month or two.
its a small department that does the research and they have to go through alot of old records that are not computerized.

Since the rest of the engine bay is stock, id stay witht the stock air cleaner asssembly. When you upgrade the vavle covers, then add an air cleaner that matches them.

If your not staying stock and plan on getting rid of those blue heads keep the chrome, IMO with whats going on in your bay as of now, I would keep the blue. It fits the engine much better. The chrome cleaner looks out of place in that stock engine.

I like to keep engines clean and simple. Im not into the bling like others, I think too much chrome makes an engine look like a low rider. Let me find a pic of my bay and I will show you what im talking about.

Under stand its your car, so it need to be what you like best in the long run.

personally i want to get eh air cleaner that matches the ribbed aluminum valve covers. but thats down the road.

and i agree i like to keep it simple. the chrome one is just what i have right now.
