Default Steering Wheel

I had to clean my Grant wood steering wheel. The cleaning removedthe protective coating down to bare wood.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should useas aprotective coating? Maybe polyurethane???? Varnish???/

Polyurethane is a good finish. It brings out the beauty in the wood and is very durable.

personally, i just oil mine. i work in a wood shop, and i see a lot of the stuff thats out there, and personally, just the natural wood is nice for me. i just oil it once a month or so, depending on the time of year. the oil i use is camelia oil. its kinda hard to find, used on fine tools and such to protect metal. you can find it online
