The car in Bullitt (minus the more famous one) was a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. Sadly most of the 1969 ones have been either turned into a pile of scrap or into a clone of the General Lee. They are in less supply than most other models and still more popular.

I believe it was like 300 that they totalled during the filming of "The Dukes of Hazard", but then again it was a very popular show.

I really wanted a 1970 Baracuda but the prices have just gotten way out of my price range especially with a wife that does not understand this hobby.

I really hope it does turn out to be a CJ and you can restore it JapanGT. That would be an awesome car when done right, and as I stated before a great addition to your "stable".

Speaking of which Waffles I saw that there is a new "Fast and Furious" movie coming out next summer with the original cast. I did see what looked like another 60's black charger in it (just a windshield shot with the blower) and it looks like the tear up a Buick Grand National in the movie as well.

Something to look forward to...

Yeah I saw that! I liked the original one ok because of that charger, then I liked tokyo drift ONLY for tha LeMans (I think?) Vin showed up in at the end (fck that mustang, with japanese powerplant, GAY) but this new one looks ok. I don't really care for the movies, but I love some of the cars in them, and I noticed that charger as well (mmmmm blower) But Grand Nationals dont do anything for me. Every ***CLASSIC*** car show some punkass shows up in a Grand National and I giggle to myself.

I'll go see it.
