conversion u joint vs cut and weld
my driveshaft has a 1310 yoke on it now, and it needs to to be 1330 with the new 9 inch rear im installing. can i trust the universal joint i should i have my driveshaft redone at universal joint in rutherford new jersey.

The conversion joint will be fine. Certain vehicles have them stock, and they are just as strong as a regular joint. I wouldn't want to go through the trouble of having a driveshaft modified when you can use off the shelf parts to make it work.
I run conversion joints in my 700hp race car..
You shouldnt have a problem with them. Also cutting the flange off and welding it back on yourself is not advisable, some shops cant even do it right..

yes. spicer is the way to go, but you'll find the same ones all over the place. There are even ford racing conversion joints etc. With what I can see from your signature, you should be fine with any conversion joint sold at NPD etc as well
