73B.....

Sent you a respone via e....bay msg system.

For the rest of you that are wondering, the basic answer sounds lame, but it really comes down to "it depends"! It depends on how your car reacts with the rear discs!

I have no idea what has been done to any cars suspension, springs, shocks, ride height, tire diameter, tire width........so would not and could not begin to guess.

Some recommend rears locking before fronts.....some recommend fronts locking before rears........ Test your car before you swap and see how it reacts. Adjust from there.

What I can say is that the booster assembly should not need changing if so equipped.

The M/C may need to have the residual pressure valve removed from the rear circuit if the rear discs drag after letting off the pedal. Depends on design of the mechanism used to restrict backflow of fluid from the rear cylinders. (calipers) The rear pistons do not move much, and have no springs to assist with piston retraction, only the rubber seals or retractors. Some of the backflow restrictors I have removed amount to nothing more than a little rubber widget that flops over when the flow goes backwards....so since there really isn't much backflow on a rear caliper, this type of device would seem ineffective in this case. If there are actual springs and needles/seats that do the job.....I would think that this type WOULD require removal just to be safe.

Proportioning valve is a maybe, or maybe not sort of deal. I can't answer that........because there are unique circumstances for each vehicle. Your car may be just fine with the stock valve. Careful road testing will tell you how much more you need to do, or not.

SO, find a book on brake systems and see what the experts recommend for adjusting brake bias depending on YOUR use of the vehicle. Adjust plan accordingly.

Regards,
Steve
