Well, the mistake I made is DynoSim will let you put in cam specs as either seat-to-seat timing/seat events or .05 lift timing/.05 lift events. Cam manufacturers state two different specs on cams (typically). One is "advertised" and one is ".05". Advertised for Comp is seat-to-seat, and since that is typically what I am dealing with I look at advertised only. Advertised for Crane is .004 which is NOT seat-to-seat. That can make a big difference and did in this case, so the safe way to talk about cams is from the reference point of .05 NOT advertised. I knew that and just missed it. If you tell a racer that you have a 280 duration cam, they will almost always ask what the .05 duration is because you cannot compare advertised durations among different cam manufacturers.
