Default firewall

Hello,I was wondering if any of you folks have used the dynacorn firewall. My firewall and toe kicks are toast(among other things) and was wondering what your thoughts on the quality and install are?

I used the dynacorn firewall on mine. along with their cowl panels. For the most part they are good but for some reason or another the the part of the firewall that is the toe boards do not meet the cowl side panels like the originals did there is a 1/2inch gap. I used some other metal I had to make them right. Also some holes are not in the right places an there are extra holes that were not on the original firewall. I welded up the holes I didn't need or were wrong and drilled them in the right places that was no problem but the gaps were a pain. As you can see from the second pic mine was pretty much toast. The first pic is the new firewall installed.

I think dynacorn has the best reputation for repro parts. I've heard they fit the best. I didn't have to mess with replacing the firewall but I did the cowl and it was a dynacorn part, fit like a glove. I say go for it if you have to replace it, use the dynacorn.

Man,yours was as bad as mine! The aprons were actually bondoed to the firewall with a thin piece of metal on top of the mud, lol. Previous owner did some pretty creative hiding work. Thanks for the pics and heads up on gaps and wrong holes. I have tons of pics I'll put on here in the next day or two,we can compare rust, lol

I agree,so far most of the dynacorn metal looks really good.

I'm guessing you already installed them? I'm gonna have to have a set too.
