well i have a t5 behind a 302. Umm well they want you to think alot of the parts are different, but when i did a clutch upgrade last night i was looking through the inside of the tranni and i seen that the gears were slightly different, idk if all t5's are like that but mine had didfferent types of gears.

hm, the only differnt types i saw when looking for mine was hardened and non hardened. mostly I saw hard 2.95 ratio gears, but did come across a couple normal T5 gears aswell. you would want to make sue that you have the same type of metal in the gear to the metal in the counter shaft. it sucks that no one can warenty the gears from breaking :<
