Default leaf spring question

I have a 65 coupe and i was wondering if anyone has taken their leaf springs from the bottom of the axle and put them on top to kind of lift the rear end up? I was wanting to know how hard it would be and if anyone has done it... Anything would be helpful.... Thanks

Doesn't sound like a very good idea.

I'm guessing your going for the rake'd look?

Anyhow, there would be no leaf perches on top of the axle (nothing to secure the axle to the leaf).

if you want to raise the rear you can just get those adjustable shackles

that would be a lot of work and would raise the car nearly 5" at the wheel wells
