Has anyone tried the Hedman 88656? They look like they would fit and may be my next set.

So I got Hedman 88660, these worked as far as the cable goes but the tube on the drivers side that is bent up hit my valve cover! I just read the comment about the Hedman 88300 so I am having them sent tomorrow. In the picture they resemble the Hooker 6901 alot, but hopefully they will work.

67 351, AFR 185's, TKO
I just ordered the 88660 today. Wish I would of logged n before ordeing. I talked to a sales rep form summit and he said those would fit. I told him I was going efi with witha t5from a 90 mustang 5.0 lest see how they work will post once they are on. o

I am going to try the Hedman 88308. Its basically the same as the 88300 but it has thicker flanges and tubing. Its also coated.

Did you get your issue resolved?

I mocked them up and they actually did fit. I'm not completely satisfied with these headers though. I have this set and some 88300s. Once I get everything in the car including the clutch cable, I'll try them both on and see which set I decide to use. Any luck with your 88308s?

Ford Powertrain are always higher priced, but their headers are not mass-production pieces...they are purpose built. They are the only place that I could find headers to match the GTP heads in a '66 Mustang. They are high priced but hey do the job...but that is a lot of money.

The engine bay is empty right now. I'm just trying to get some parts together so I will hopefully have everything I need when the crate motor arrives. So, I can't tell you how they fit.

Yeah, I just can't afford that much for headers. My limit is 400 bucks and they wanted almost twice that for coated headers. They may be very well built parts, but that is just too much money.

I have JBA mid ceramic coated and they the cable clutch (Mustang Steve) just fine. I tried going with Patriots. The first set came with a sloppy weld at the collector and had a hole, the second set wouldn't clear the right shocktower. Finally bit the bullet and bought the JBAs. This is the second time I've used these headers and have been pleased with the quality and fit both times.

What part number are your JBA headers?

Does anyone know if they will work with the Modern Driveline clutch cable?
