No. For the reasons I stated a couple posts ago.

ok this is getting really confusing.

if a 17x7 4.75BS with 235/40/17 wont fit, then what will? i can get it made in any backspacing i want.

ok i see the 17x8 with wilwood and 4.75BS, so at least 1 guy made it work. yes

will a 17x8 with 5" backspacing fit, or would i have to go with a 17x7 5" BS? i dont mind doing the 7" rim, as long as i can fit a 265 or MAYBE 275 in the rear im good. if you can easily get the 5 inch backspacing it would work better in the front and if it doesn't it is easy to space a wheel out it is hard to suck them in further, however, the rear might then also rub on the leafs (assuming same bs).

or would the 17x7 have a 4.75" backspacing? I don't think that would fit in the front since 4.25 is generally the most you can run in the front in a 17 and even with the extra track from the wilwoods I think it would contact the a arm.
then how are guys able to run a 01 bullit wheel? they have a 5.72" BS and run a 1" spacer, which makes it 4.72".

so the track width means the face of the hub is 3/4" wider on each side of the car, so if a 4.25"BS would be normal, then the track width would bring it out to a 5.00" BS for it to fit the same.

bullitt wheels are 8 inch wide. A 7 inch wide wheel with 4.75 bs is too much on a stock car.

The track width change is just under a 1/2 inch (approx) based on the information I have read. So for an 8 inch rim I would expect you to need JUST UNDER 5.25 BS for the same fit as stock. For a 7 inch wheel I would expect you to need JUST UNDER 4.75 backspacing. If you are going to order custom sized rims, spend the time and measure. It is very easy to get the wheels for the car, you just have to invest a little time upfront if you want to maximize the rubber you get on the road. The chart's provide an excellent guide in most cases, but in this case I really think it is in your best interest to simply measure and/or test fit a rim/tire in the stock 17x8 4.75 with a 235 45 17 and then measure if you think it fits.

ok if thats the case then hopefully a 4.5" backspacing would fit.

but i will go out there, hook up all the brakes and measure how far the face of the hub is to the fender. then ill take some measurements on a 17x7 wheel and 17x8 wheel to see how far the outer radius of the tire is to the backface of the wheel. kinda like backwords from checking backspacing. i have a picture in my head of how i see it.

ok so the 17x7 wheel comes with a 4" backspacing. the wilwoods move the track width about 1/2 - 5/8". so i would need a 17x7 with 4.5" backspacing. that takes care of the front.

for the rear, if i ran a 265/40 tire, would it be better if i kept the normal 4.75" backspacing or would a 5" allow me to go wider? cause right now i have a 4.5" backspaced wheel on and theres about 2" clearance from the tire (245) to the leaf spring/ fender well.
