Default Transmissions

The paint is done and the car is up in LA getting ready for the new parts.

Deciding on the tranny is holding things up. Making the Powerglide work seems prohibitively complicated, so I'm probably going to go back to a straight manual - either a 3-speed or 4. With an electric motor's torque curve, I don't need 4 speeds, but they're more plentiful.

Once I find a suitable tranny, the project can move forward.

Decided to go with a rebuilt 3-speed. Since I don't need all the gears, I'll try to keep the rotational weight as low as possible. It's on its way!
