I went with the recommendation from the paint shop and got the gallon - spilled a quart and had to go get 2 more to finish. 5 quarts (btw dark blue is my color, PPG DBU)

I'm looking at painting mine too. I plan on a burgundy metallic with beige or off-white racing stripes. My question is, how much better is polyurethane than urethane paint, and is it worth the price difference?

yellows and oranges are the most expensive, if you buy Dupont or PPG name brand your gonna spend about 400 bucks on just the base. But if you use their value line like Nason(dupont) or Shopline/Omni(PPG) thn you will spend half of that for the same color

then you clear will be from 150-400 depending on how much you want to spend

then you have prime and sealer and etch and epoxy prime etc and tape etc etc

you will be init for at least 600$ in materials if you go value line
