Default Fixing / finding a break leak

Well seeing as how i dont have the cash to do a conversion right now im going to go ahead and fix my drums. The only problem is i dont know where to start... a while back my bro went to step on the brakes and nothing happened, so my first raction was to check the fluid, sure enough dry as a bone. so i filled it right back up. ever since it keeps leaking right back out, but i cant find where its leaking from. I think it could be around the master cylinder but im not sure, there is a little bit of gunk on the firewall around there that could be brake fluid. Ill try to get pictures tomorrow. My questiuon is how do i locate a brake leak and go about fixing ita, in addition to how i go about changing the pads and cleaning the drums?

two places, pull your carpet back at the top of the brake pedal and see if it's wet/oily, it might be leaking into your carpet. the other would be at the wheel cylinders. look at the back side of each wheel and see if theres fluid leaking down any tires at the base. You should be able to buy a M/C rebuild kit, but you are probably much safer off buying a rebuilt one. The wheel cylinders are the same scenario, you can rebuild them for practically nothing, but your better off just buying another cylinder. Get that done, and let us know what's next.

napa or somewhere like www.mustangsunlimited.com

but i like to use the parts houses like napa etc because they are local and if you need to exchange something, or get the wrong thing you dont have to pay to ship it back and forth etc
