I haven't tried the 70 351C hoses. I still may try them, but right now its not high on my list of things that need to be done.

I'm using Gates Vulcoflex hoses from Oriellys. They have been working great for 2 years. The numbers are 25476 and 26501.

I know this thread is older, but I'm finally getting around to doing this. I got tired of looking at the flex hoses. I also suspect the lower one is leaking now.

I picked up some molded Gates hoses at Orielly's. I got a lower Bronco II lower hose to use as an upper, and a 70 Maverick hose for the lower. I read of a few others having used the Maverick hose. If the lower one doesn't work, I'll get the 70 351C hose.

I saw some other pictures of the upper hose and how it fits. I think that is going to look nice. I'm not sure about the lower hose yet.

I'm going to work on fitting them up. Now if I can just find the new lower hose spring I had.

The Bronco II hose Gates 21736 works great for the upper, or at least it fits nicely anyway.

The 1970 hose Gates 20702 is shaped right and fits the radiator, but will not fit the water pump. Its too small on that end. Its 1.5, and I need it to be 1.75 inches.

I need another solution for the lower hose. Anybody?

Well the Fairlane hose Gates 20674 came in today. I ended up shortening it, because I though it would work. Well, no dice. So I wasted 15 bucks.

The Gates 20702 would be perfect (I think), if it was 1.75 inches on both ends.

I'm really in need of some help here. I'm not sure what else to try.

I should have looked a bit closer. Apparently the 1970 Mustang and Maverick hoses are different. I remember someone recommending the Maverick hose. I'm going to try a Gates 20609 for a 1970 Mustang tomarrow. It is said to be 1.75 inches.

Let us know if it works. I have been looking off and on for about 3 years and haven't found what I need. I have cut every hose out there it seems with no luck. And the hoses that were on the car when I got it have no numbers or writing at all
