Default My Update! IT STARTED!

WOOO HOOO. (It felt great)

I did my stock timming on this engine that I had today, and it was just real hard to crank over. Finally ,I called a friend of mine, who works on hot rods, and came by. He was working with the timming advanced on the engine and he got it running. but really really ruff.
Finally, he asked me if it was a performance cam. I said yea it was a pro comp cam. So he said we need to switch the #1 spark wire over to the #8 on the cap. So we moved them all. It started right up and WOW. Power, Sound, (no more knock knock). WOOO HOOO!

I went to start it again, lol and It was hard to crank, I think the battery is low. So I am charging it.

Anyways! TAH DAH!

Does anyone know the basic specs of a Hot Rod type motor compared to a stock?
Oil Pressure
Normal Temp
Idle
etc....

Thanks

HURRAH!
But why did you have to switch plug wires? were they wrong to begin with?, or is it soley because of the cam?

Plug wires where right to the manual. He told me to switch them. So I did. I am guessing it is because of the CAM

Might want to ask your buddy what is going on with that. If you don't understand what he did it will come up again down the road and you will go through the same thing all over again and he may not be around.
