Default 65 body measurements

I just stripped my 65 and Im about to start replacing sheet metal. But i can see my car has been in a few accidents. Where do I find specs for my car so i can measure and align everything? I want it to be as straight as possible. I've searched around and can't find anything. Thanks for the help

find a local mustang shop, and get a copy of the original ford service manual. It will answer 99% of your questions. I just looked at mine and, sorry, there's no specific publisher

Helm Inc. is the most common publisher of OE shop manuals, but I don't know if they have the '65 Mustang book(s) in stock.

Another direction to try is Hemmings Motor News. Somebody may have this literature for sale.

I just remembered that the shop manual for the 1972 Fords came as a set of four of five individual books that covered the entire Ford lineup, divided by 'Chassis', 'Engine', etc. rather than by model. Perhaps the 1965 literature was also arranged that way, so you might want to look under just 'Ford'.
