Default I'm Stumped.

I am trying to set my timing and points gap on my 289, but every time i change the timing to the correct spot, the points gap changes and vice versa making it impossible to get them both where they need to be. Does anyone know why this might be happening or how to fix my problem?

You must always set the gap/dwell angle first. Altering this changes when the points open and close, which affects the timing. Once the dwell is set, you can set the timing with confidence. If the dwell keeps changing, there is something else wrong with it.
