Default 70 302 water pump

I just joined this forum after browsing the threads. It seems the community is very knowledge and helpful. I hope to become a regular user and learn a lot as well as contribute what i can.

I was wondering if anyone knew the bolts needed to install a water pump on a 1970 mustang 302. I tried searching the forum and online first but all I could find was kits that do not list the sizes. The reason I need the sizes is the local mustang company overcharges for the kits so I would rather buy from a hardware store. Any help or information at all would be appreciated.
Thank you.

they should all be 5/16 and they range in lengths. 2 are about 4-4.5", 2 or 3 are about 3-3.5" , and there is a couple 2-2.5". I just put mine in tonight, wish i saw this before i would have measured for you. Ask them to describe what is in the kit because you think they gave you the wrong parts, try to "clarify"

Hey thanks man your awesome. Usually i would have just purchased the kit but i have had to cut back on a lot of things due to lack of funds. I would rather spend $5-10 at an ACE Hardware than $30 for the same thing as a kit.
