Use the full panel from Dynacorn. Here's a couple in use:

Do some googling. I found a site with TONS of restorations - about 4 of which were Mustangs.

Did this on one side of my coupe. Pretty good project but its a lot of fun and worth it in the end. One thing is make sure your deck lid measurments are exact or you'll have problems with it fitting good. Good luck and maybe post some pics as you are replacing them!

Regarding sheet metal. Measure and record your good panel. I'm currently replacing my trunk panels, and found that not all panels are created equal. The driver side panel was 1/2" shorter than the stock panel, yep, 1/2". The bad part....several mustang joints were buying from this same manufacturer, including mustang+. Some business' are lacking in the quality control dept. It's been 6 weeks waiting on a new panel. I finally gave up and called back east to have one shipped. Needless to say I asked the guy to tell me the measurement over the phone BEFORE I bought it. Double check your measurements! Finishing panels (outside panels) are usually not refundable.
