Default Question: Suspension + Brakes 1967 Vert

All,

Yet another question,

I posted a thread question about rims and have reading and research on this forum it brings me to suspension.

I want to modernize my front suspension, questions is to which?

Where I stand on the car as it is.

 The car is 67 Vert 289 2v
 Pretty original but in my honest opinion nothing to keep original but if I add a component I want it bolt on and save the old part away.
 The car will keep the 289 (maybe swap a 302 later)
 I eventually want to R&I steering
 I want to drive it on summer days a daily driver and country rd enjoyment.
 Been advised to upgrade the suspension and drum to disk.
 Would want a Sus and Brake system kit.
 Been looking at RRS and the Shelby unit.

What are your thoughts? Do I order the suspension kits that replace the same components? Or something like RRS.

No need for the Mustang II as I do not want to chop it up.

depends on the money you want to spend, if its just a street car you would be better off with a complete rebuild, new higher rate springs, front and rear sway bars.

power disc brakes, the stock style 4 piston bolt right on your drum brake spindles, converting to 94-04 cobra front and rear discs can be done cheaply as well.

here's my 67 vert http://htwheelz.smugmug.com

The "Shelby/Arning drop", relocating the upper control arm pivots down 1" will alter the geometry, making it more 'roll resistant', and making it more compatible with radial tires. You'll feel the difference immediately, as though you put a thicker sway bar on. Then put a thicker sway bar on, and it'll magnify the effect. Probably the single most cost-effective modification you can do.

Arning/Shelby Suspension Drop

I forgot to mention doing that, it does make a difference.
