Default trouble finding brake booster and more brake question

i have a 66 that was built in april or 66 and all the brake boosters that i find for a 66 say before 1/3/66 so this makes me think made before this date. so what do i use? and my other question is i am looking at getting disk brakes and found a kit that comes with the booster dual master cyl and disk brakes but it says for manual to power conversion but could i still use this kit? i didnt know if the manual brakes used a different pedal that would not bolt up to the new power kit but my power pedal would not.

thanks

The date makes no real difference. The pedal was the same on 64-66 manual or power brakes. Kits that use modern booster typically won't fit with the clutch mechanism. The OEM type will, but it's hard to mount a dual master cylinder on them, without hitting the shock tower. Certain modern cylinders will fit with the OEM booster. Plan ahead- all-drum brakes require different cylinders than disc/drum. You can compare several different manufacturers' disc and power brake kits in this catalog:
