Difference between 68 & 69 seats
Hey, I just bought a set of 69 headreasts for low-back seats for my 68 with low back buckets and I am getting new seat upholstery also. In my NPD catalogue, It shows that the front seats are the same for 68 and 69 except that the 68 covers have "sierra" material on the bolsters of the seat and the 69s have "corinthian" material. I can't see much of a difference other than the 69 material looks smoother. Since I bought 69 Headrests with correct 69 upholstery I would assume that I should get the corinthian stuff so the rest of the seat will match the headrests. Does anyone know what the difference between the materials is and if i get an upholstery set for a 69, will I be able to use the rear seat upholstery from the set on my 68?
If you didn't get the back seat you might want to. The 68 back seat will be faded and different enough to be noticed, IMO. Seat dye fades after several years, especially along the top of the back, even if it's black or white. It's not a really big deal since the seats are similar, but why not do it right and replace both front and back seats now? (unless you have the factory skins, in which case they should be removed and reconditioned).
The springs should be changed/adjusted and foam padding replaced for a pro reupholstery job too. Good luck. Post pics.

I am planning on buying the rear seat cover also. I was just wondering if a 69 rear seat cover will fit a 68 rear seat because I think I like the material used on the 69s better and the headrests I bought are covered in 69 material so they would match better. Thanks for the help.
