Here's a pic that should help. This is on my '70FB, it should be the same.

wow, Cruzzar you're awesome. Is yours welded in or no? Looks like its just bonded on or something, unless I'm blind and don't see the welds. Thanks for those measurements though!

It has the factory spot welds on each of the three ears that mate to the bottom of the floor pan. You're right, I can't see them either but they are there.

Default Idler Floor Bracket

Does anybody know if the measurements the same for a '73 Mach 1? I have the same issue with my car. Also, is there an idler bracket on the left hand side under the driver's side floor pan? I understand the cable routes through the frame rail but I ran into something about a left hand idler bracket.

I moved one on a 67 last summer on a fully assembled car. I pulled the RH seat, lifted the carpet, shoved a small sheet of plywood between the floor and carpet/deadener, and welded it in the correct place. Which, BTW, is as far into the corner as it will go, without overlapping the metal tabs on the frame rail and crossmember. It should be at a 45° angle relative to the centerline of the car, so that the cable link points straight out.

The 69-73 had the front cable attached to a bracket on the LH side. The RH side was similar to the earlier brake.

Closer than that would be a shot of the underside of the carpet.
