Napa Auto parts has a nice rebuild kit,

you will need the tag numbers off the carb. Should be a little stamped steel plate attached to one of the top cover screws. Probably about $20.00.

If you run into real problems. Pony Carbs, Inc. does a nice rebuild and has a very good web site with pictures that will help you figure out exactly what carburetor you have.

Good luck!

Hi Scott,

Can you give me please a link to the napa auto parts that shows that kit? I`ve looked at google and find nothing that shows auto parts that I need.

Thanks,
Eran.

Default Napa has a web site?

Sorry man, I didn't even know Napa had a web site. I go to my local brick and mortar store, tell 'em what I got, what I need and they give me the part. Then I drive home and fix what's broke.

I know it's kind of old fashioned, but somethings work better that way. The worst case scenario I've had is where I've had to take the part in to match the picture in their book.

Did you find the part number tag on the carburetor?
If you've got that you can probably just call them. Otherwise I'd take it in with you.

Hi Scott,

Well I had some time this weekend to look under the air filter to search for the carb number.. Any how I found something I hope you could help me with that:

FORD
C5ZFB
65ED

Thats what I found, does it help you to find my carb brand ?

Thanks,
Eran.

Hi Eran,

I don't show a C"5"ZF-B. I do show a C"6"ZF-B, if it is a 6 and not a 5 then what you have is an Autolite 4100-A. 4 barrel originally for the 289 with Automatic not used on themactor, police, taxi or high performance. Man there is nothing better than the factory manual!. I would highly suggest you pick one up, it takes you through the complete rebuild and gives you all the specs for setting it up.

BTW: that data plate is exactly what you need. If you plan to keep your car correct, you definitely want to rebuild this carb. That tag taken to a good parts store will get you the rebuild kit.

Good luck,

Edit, just realized you have a 65. My service manual is for a 66 which may be why I don't list a C5ZF-B.
