Urban Cowboy, I have seen some of your other posts on carb tuning in the past. Do you know of a good publication or manual to learn the finer points?

Not really. I have just picked up a little hear and there, read a bunch on the internet and Holley book. I could point you in the right direction if you were running a Holley carb, but I know very little on specific on Edelbrocks. I suggest looking for a good book on Edelbrock carbs. I can help with the basics (all carbs generally work the same), but maybe others here are better on the Edelbrocks.

I cannot vouch for this book, but SA makes good books. I would maybe start with this.

I lived in Denver about 15 years ago. I had a '75 Bronco and had the same problem. I found a carburetor shop in Boulder that I was able to get it to and they had it purring like a kitten in an hour or 2. That was a long time ago, but maybe the shop is still there.

Well it was a busy weekend and I didn't get a chance to pull any plugs. I did drive it last Friday and confirmed that the issue definately gets much worse when the engine is hot. It was in the 90's Friday afternoon and it ran fine along the highway and through some stop and go traffic, but once I got close to home it would really "hiccup" when sitting at the stop lights and hessitate on low-mild throttle. The issue did seam to wane under stonger throttle. So whatever it is - is made worse with hot ambiant air temps and once the engine gets hot for a period of time.

Heading out of town later this week so it will be a couple weeks before I can pull the plugs or look at anything else. I am sure I will post back with what I see when I do pull the plugs in a couple/few weeks, if I haven't dropped it off at a local shop by then to let them have a gander.
