Okay I can not seem to figure it out. What would cause the S terminal to read 4.6 with the coil connected and 12.2 when the coil is not connected?! Am I missing a ground or something? One person said that on automatics the charge runs from the battery to the solenoid to the ignition to the neutral safety switch to the starter? I checked all those connections and they seemed fine.
