Looks like a nice, restorable car... congratulations!

This week I'm going to try to crank the engine. The PO said it smoked when she parked it 15 years ago. It will most likely need a rebuild but I would still like to hear it run. I'm also going to cut out the front carpet to get a look at the front floors. If they are no worse than the back it should be a simple restoration.

Nice find. Are you going to put it back to original?

It could always be worse. Looks like you have a decent project even with the bad frame rails. Its difficult to find a vert in decent shape if it hasnt been rebuilt once already.

I thought this car was unmolested but someone had gone in and put some galvanized metal in the floors. It is only pop riveted in so removal will be easy. I would much rather have that to work with than a car that someone had welded patches in inproperly. I have done those before and they can be a nightmare. Should be fun I'm going to try to start it tomorrow.
