LOL Sounds familiar.
I adjusted mine and the same thing they guide the rod and they will rub now and then i dont have any binding issues or anything that will wear out the pushrod. So im just thinking a tiny bit of rub now and then is normal.

What we did is drop all the steering, sway bar, motor mounts. Then lowered the motor and tranny to the floor. Then we jacked the car up over the engine and tranny and rolled it out of the way.

LOL...yes I replaced it

Hood is from mustangplus. quality and fitment were great. The trunk was a nightmare.

Spent most of the day polishing and painting parts from the old engine that will go on the new.
You can see the problem we are having lining up the rockers with afr's p-o-s guideplates

You would think when the heads are designed specifically for this motor that guideplates would be easy?

Installed the main girdle. Need to clearance the fuel pump a bit for it to fit

Does anybody know what is suppost to be here? On my old motor it just has a bolt grinded off to fill the hole. Same hole on the new motor but it is not threaded. It is on the bottom drivers side...

That does not look right. I would consider buying Comp guideplates and see if they fit better.

As for the bottom pic, some blocks have drain plugs or pepcocks so you can drain the coolant from the block.
