Default exhuast woes

I habe been planning on putting duel exhaust on my 66 for a while now. I already have a set of flowmasters for it. Should i buy a exhaust kit from a parts supplier and install in myself, or have a muffler shop do it. I can't weld, but a bolt on kit should be no problem. Also on the 65 and 66 you have to change the rear brake hose or it will melt, can i just put some heat shield on it or something. Just to change the lines would be over $100. plus all of the stuff for the duel exhaust.[:@] Any Suggestions

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Find ya a small shop with some good people.
When I got my stang it had these butt ugly tips sticking out the back of it. I tried to DIY cut em off with a saw and pulled out one of the hangers. Long story short I took it to a lil local shop, they charged me like 30 bucks to cut em off, put on turn downs out right outa the flowmasters and even adjusted my brakes for me. ( I didnt even mention the brakes they just did it) I just don't think you can go wrong with a local shop. Ask around where you live or maybe ask in the local parts store, someone will have a good story about someplace where you live. [sm=americanasmiley.gif] Gluck bro

I got my car did with Flowmaster for 350 all the way from Header to Valence minus mufflers. I already had those. Did it in 2.5 with an X-pipe, and it took him 1 day. I dropped it that morning, and drove it home that night.

I third the motion to have a muffler shop do the work. Bolt together systems eventually leak, and are sometimes difficult to make fit perfectly.
