Default help choosing heads

I am tired of having issues with my worked over factory heads. It is time that i just get new heads that will deliver the goods. i have read a lot and i am more confused than ever.

Here is what i am running now to the best of my knowlege.

-670 street avenger
-Lunati Camshaft, Hydraulic Flat Tappet, Advertised Duration 268/276 Lift 522/.538, Ford, Small Block, Each
-Wiend Stealth intake
-All ARP hardware
-bottom end completely balanced
-Hyper pistons (not sure the brand but i know it was quality stuff
-high flow oil pump
-hardend push rods
-comp cams magnum roller rockers

Should i go with the AFR heads or the Trick Flow heads? Also are the Edelbrock heads a good choice.

I want to squeeze as much out of this as i can get.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400002 is for flat tappet

If I were in your position I'd clearly go for those (depending).

Don't bother with those GT40X heads. They're better than factory heads, but you can pick up a set of something much better for a couple hundred more.

I just put a set of Trick Flows on my 331 and I love them. The twisted wedge design ensures that you won't have to worry about valve/piston interference, and it also unshrouds the valves for better flow rates across the board.

If you're interested in a pair, PM me. I can send you to someone who will probably give you a better deal than Summit

Love the performance of the AFR heads. They are second to none, but the quality of their valves is junk. If you have the money, get CNC AFR heads (blank). Then get some good hardware like valves like Ferrea, ARP studs, and match your springs to the type of lifters and cam you get. Many people do not have problems with stock AFR stuff, but their hardware did not hold up in my engine.

Im going with the trick Flow Heads. I sent Starfury the PM he requested.

I am ready to do a ton of mods in the next two weeks. I am getting the 8.8 buttoned up and installed. I am converting over to the 13in cobra breaks. (ive bought all the stuff just need to install it) and i am going for the heads. I cant wait to rip **** up! ughh get some!

that sounds like a great plan. the T5 is able to just handle that power, just don't do any powershifting!
