I'm doing mine jet black. I have black leather int as well and quite honestly...the heat isn't that bad. I live in Charlotte, NC, which is humid as all can be, and very hot at times. But if your car sits in the garage and you go out for an occasional drive, the heat wont kill you, espcially considering you live in oregon.

Likewise, if you're a daily drive and you take your car to work...and it sits int he parking lot for 8 hours...prepare to be a very well done steak.

AC helps, but that comes with money.. if you're looking to save cash, i would still recommend going with what color YOU like best, thats all that matters.

Since you asked about black, i'll go ahead and agree with you. Since im doing mine black, i think its an awesome, slick-looking color to put on any stang. Black, however, is the hardest to get right when painting, and it'll take the most work, but it still looks the best.

I have a pic of a '69 hood that my friend painted several weeks ago, and i just painted the underside of my deck lid last night, so when i go pick it up today i'll post those pics as well.

This was the hood as he was buffing it...looks sweet...

This is the buffed hood finished...its like glass..
