wait for a hood man.
its not worth playin by ear... you could seriously mess something up with one mismeasurement, with a hood, its a lot harder to make a mistake.

When i think of fender aprons being put on with no hood on hand, i think "Gap Fail"

Where are you located? If you are close you could use my hood that is laying around.

I agree, don't go that route. Just wait for the hood, or borrow one if you can.

Not only the hood, but the fenders, bumper, grille, and everything else that locates or bolts to those panels. I havent finish welded them to the 71 in my sig because I need the bumper and brackets it mounts on. They are just tacked on there so I can move them around if needed.

Also if you arent going to change to a different front suspension, you need to make sure the shock towers are in the right place, being off just a bit in any direction can cause problems with the alignment.

well everything went back in the orginal spotweld location, and all my measurments are almost right on based on the build sheet so ill take my chances....i have no choice on a deadline. Baby on the way and i have to get to a good pause point on the car and this is the last body work that is to be done besides the filler and sanding

wish me luck

still looking for measurments? Just completed my project, have a repro hood that fit great. I'll measure it if needed.

Hard to get exact measurements from hood due to its contours. But under side center side to side is 46 1/4, the gap between mounted fenders is 46 3/4 (alot of adjustment capability). Length of hood near useless due to shape and coming to point in front center. My measurements for aprons are from front of Inner Fender to Cowl Brackets (looks like yours is not installed on firewall/cowl) rear apron is 17 3/4" from front of bracket(mine are original, so measurments are factory) and front apron 38 3/4 " with radiator support flush. Across shock towers: from front top mounting bolts 40", 41" at radiator support. It's a big risk but good luck. Hope this helps
