Default Tranny mounts

If I manual shift my car, on down shifts I hear a thump coming from the hump area between the seats. I'm thinking the mounts are bad. Are they a PITA to change, and should I go rubber or poly??? Thanks for any info on this.[8D]

Never thought of it that way I guess. Rubber it is then, since they will outlast the car this time. [:-] Thanks for the reply.[8D]
