Default Inline 6

here is my inline 6.

I dont know what's wrong with it because when i bought an air cleaner for it, the hood did not want to close. Does anyone have any idea as to why this is happenning.

I believe that the engine is too lifted from the front but dont know why.

Maybe it's the mounts?

i can't tell, I have all 289s so i dont know. It does look tilted upward a little though, that carb looks kinda tall, but again, i dont know what a 1 barrel carb really looks like. Sorry, i can't be more of a help. I've never seen a engine sit like that though, but i wouldn't be surprised what these old cars will do to us.

Here is a pic of my 200 ci with single carb...your carb is much larger and different, apparently not the single carb (?)...

Could be the mounts. Your entire engine is sitting up way higher than Cogtx.

look at both I6 from head on and mark where the tallest part of the engine is relative to the firewall your engine is definatley sitting up much higher
