Default freshining up gauges

I got a good deal on a in tact set of gauges for my 66 sense mine were all smashed and the needles were broken. I bought it with that camera case black like i was looking for but its really dirty and tired looking. I am going to redo the chrome with a spray can but was wondering if anyone knew how to get the black to shine again I heard clear coat form my neighbor but am looking for other suggestions.

I second this. I would definitely replace the bezel and the lense. They are inexpensive. There is a paint that is perfect for the needles. That maks a huge difference.

I know this if for 67-68 but it may help you.
