Default Ram Air Hood hinges

I bought a Ram Air hood for my 73 Mustang convertible.
I was wondering if the original hood hinges work for these hoods or if I need different hinges. I have seen a listing on ebay for some square hood hinges that the claim was that you need these for the Ram Air hoods. Is this true or false? Thanks in advance!

False. The 71-73 hood hinges were all the same. The springs on the ram air style hood were extra heavy wire, flattened to a square appearance to maintain the same dimensions. You probably don't need the special springs.
