Better spring compressor for sure. I used one of those 4 hook crappers when I did mine....I lost track of the number of times it tried to maim and/or kill me.

I use the one that most auto parts stores have. I just used it today when I dropped my 67. Have used it couple times before and have never had any problems with it slipping.

The one BA posted is the one I have used before, but I really like the one 2+2 posted. It looks like it works better and is safer.

I favor that one, for sure. It's as close as you can get to the one Ford used. This tool:

Disconnect the sway bar. Then if you pull the suspension down after that, you can get a bit more travel. At least until the upper a arm hits the frame rail.

That looks like a cool spring tool. Does it make compressing the spring really easy?
