Default Suspension Advice needed ASAP!!!!!!

I am losing my work space for my car and need to move it. Quick.
it is just the shell, no engine, tranny, interior.

The question is, do i have to install the springs and shocks if I am just putting it up on a tow trailer? the rest of the suspension is installed and I want to know if it will put too much strain on the control arms etc...

it will travel about 5 miles. as soon as it is moved it will be parked on jack stands.

Thanks!

Personally with the car stripped, I'd feel comfortable with the car resting on the bump stops if the trailer is sprung.

This assumes that you have the bump stops in place.

I wouldn't do it with metal to metal contact.

Good luck...

Cut you a couple of 2x4 or 4x4s just long enough to take the place of the coil springs and let the boards handle the weight. I doubt it would hurt to use nothing at all, but this takes the guess work out of it.

I agree, it would probably be fine but better to be safe than sorry.
