Some garages won't touch your car if you have thick spacers on them. Some people have had them sheer off the lugs loosing a wheel.I would buy wheels that fit my car before using a spacer.

Any street tire will be fine with adapters. It's when you try running a drag radial or try to do a road course that you stress the adapter. Most tires won't transfer the power to the ground. I run 1.25" spacers in the back with ample power and take them off a few times during the year and I have found no problems with them. Normal street driving is fine.

Thanks for giving my confidence back to me LLC, My 351w is bone stock except for a pertronix ignitor, so I hope things will be ok. Anyone know how much to torque the spacer (adapter) itself? How much to torque the wheels themselves?
