Default Converting 5.0 for 65

I'm rebuilding a 5.0 and putting it and an AOD in my 65. Will an early oil pan fit? If so, who wants to sell me an oil pan, pickup tube, accessory brackets, timing cover, and whatever else? I'll be looking all over, but if anyone here wants to sell some stuff, that's less looking I have to do.

You must use an early, front sump pan. I suggest a new style one-piece gasket.

You will have to plug the oil dipstick boss that is in the block and get a new timing cover that has a boss built in, or get a pan that has a dipstick provision in it. The 5.0 pan has a relief pressed into the rim so the dipstick can clear it. I tapped my stock boss and used a plug i got from Home depot.

I taped everything off and drilled my 5.0 timing cover for a dipstick while it was still installed on the block
