The c5 is the 1965 code but the "a" as the 3rd letter says it's a Galaxie part. Being a 164 tooth, I would imagine it's off a FE engine. The only FE that was externally balanced was the 428. I don't know if it was a 28oz. Sorry

Never assume something is a Galaxie part because there's an "A" in the engineering number. That only means the Galaxie group paid for the engineering of the part. Many parts installed on the Mustang carried the "A".
Oh, and lots and lots of Galaxies had 289 engines.
However, the C5AE-A 164T wheel, if intended for a 289, would indeed be a 28 oz. The change to 50 oz was decades later.
Of course, the 64-67 289 Mustang used a 157T wheel, so you either have a 68-73 Mustang, or a "parts collection".
Hi 2+2, on that note: my flywheel was 160T (i counted 10 times as I couldn't believe it). figured that some 6 cylinder falcons used that. so the 64 models might have a few falcon leftovers :-]

True! The 157T started out as a 160T! At some point the wheel was changed to 157T, all the Service Replacements for the 160T were 157T. The diameter was unchanged, of course, I can only think each tooth was made a few thousandths thicker.
