Default AFR , LM1 and LM2, gauges, etc

I've been seeing allot of threads mentioning air fuel ratios, and the LM1 and LM2 portable testers, narrow and wide band O2 sensors, etc. Can we start a thread to talk about this subject to enlighten and educate us ole-skool dinosaurs. The rough research I've seen shows this is about $400 to set up, weld in, etc. This must be an incredible tuning tool! What about dual exhaust setups? two sensor? Will a scanner read two sensors, or do you read them one at a time? Please,,,educate me.
