which Trick Flow heads
I am trying to decide the best head to buy. I am finally ready nd have a couple questions.
1- 170 or 190s
Track Heats or just the Fast as cast?
I have a 289 with ARP hardware and Hyperutectic flat top pistons and a Lunati 61003 cam which has .058 lift

in my opinion it should be the cheaper:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400002/
reasons for it:
- smaller runner (the other 190 is too much for 289, rather for 351).
- higher compression (rather 351 as well on the other)
- valve lift on the cheaper ones are more than enough
only downside, not CNCed chamber, but well, f* that. I'd say you should be stupid happy with those.
check with Starfuty, I think he has them as well
i'd say the questiuon should rather be:

or

;-)
what are you going for?

and what cam lift do you actually have? is it really 0.58" (?) if it is, what heads are you currently running?

I have a .538 lift. I currently am running the factory heads a really nice port job on them.
I have had valvetrain issues since i built the engine which i think is due to the lift.
I am going with the http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400002/
the 51400004 are for a roller cam!
I am hoping that the this will help me a little in the power area. i am also throwing on a 125 shot of NO2!
I also will need to get a good set of sticky street tires. The tires I have now already spin like crazy without hooking up.

well stock heads with that lift and nos sounds mad :-) now that you mentioned it i remember what the 2/4 difference was. i'm positive you're going to like them, but you're at the edge with 0.54. you running that with 1.6:1 ratio rockers?
oh he said he's going for the http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TFS-51400002/, he picked the right ones for himself. i would love to do a side by side comparison between that and the edl rpm heads as well as the AFRs. never seen any
yes i have 1.6 rockers. I am going to order them tomorrow or wed. i have been waiting a while and just cant stand it anymore. I am going to take the plung and get them. And Kalli
My car is very similat to yours. I think that you may be surprised how good it looks once you get the wheels on it. You may change you mind and decide that you dont need the moulding or a stripe. I love the clean look that your car as well as mine has. I went with 17 in wheels and love them. I just need to install a rear sway antisway bar! when i corner hard with a passenger i tend to rub a little on the outside of my tires. I am running the 4.5" offset TT2's

The FAC would've been nice, but I didn't have the funds for those. And Kalli's right, they're a little much for a mild 289.
