Default Chalk up another exploding water pump pulley.

A couple of months ago there was a post by someone who had a WP pulley come unglued. Mine did last night. It just separated itself from the front flat face portion. The bolts remained in the pump flange and the pump spins freely. No damage at all to anything thankfully.

It looks like it just weakened around some slightly rusty portions that turned into fractures on the underside near the flange. There was no warning whatsoever. Have a new pulley coming from G/N and was told that they occasionally let go. I guess the warranty won't cover this... Ford is forgiven.

Just thought it would be worth mentioning.

And after 45 years of metal fatigue.... weird **** starts breaking...

Those re-pop control arms are starting to look a little better....
